What does this mean?

You must pay all local tax and social security in your country yourself from the amount you invoice us.

What do I need to do to get paid?
  • Please complete the relevant forms (sent to you when you passed the test) and return them to the Language Coordinator.
  • Send us an invoice .

How will I be paid?
  • The amount of the invoice will be paid directly into your bank account - please supply details on invoice (including the bank BIC or SWIFT code). Any bank charges incurred will be passed on to you. If you wish to be paid by cheque, please indicate this on your invoice.
  • To save on fees, you may wish to be paid every two or three months, rather than monthly. Again, please state this on your invoice.

What is the deadline for submitting invoices?

The 20th of the month.

What form should the invoice be in?

Either:

  • Email - scanned invoice attached.

  • Email - original invoice document attached.
  • Faxed invoice (Fax +44 (0)20 7430 5801).
  • Post.

If the invoice is sent by post, is the 20th the deadline for arrival in ECI or are a few days' transit time allowed?

The 20th is the date we must receive it at ECI.

How soon will I be paid after receipt of invoice?

Payment will be made 45-60 days after issue of invoice .

If I request a wire transfer to my home country, what currency should I invoice in?

Please invoice us using the currency that your standard rates are in. You would be informed of your standard rates in the e-mail sent to you confirming that you have passed our freelancer tests.

How are partial minutes (for example 2 minutes and 34 seconds) invoiced? Do you round up to the nearest figure or are they just cut off?

The exact number of minutes is usually given on the project info sheet or on the email you will receive by the project manager who assigns the job to you. If you have not received this information, please check with the project manager asap.
